Our Kentucky trip

Ok, so I kinda lied and said I would update one more time, before we left. I was too busy:)

Our trip to Kentucky was BUSY. We had something to do every...single...day. No kidding. We got there about dinner time on Wednesday and spent the evening with Nana and the inlaws. Thursday I went to my uncle's house and to visit some very dear friends. They cared for me as a child and it was so great to see them! Friday I went over to my best friend's house and taught her how to make homemade bread....she loved it! I played with my niece and Logan tried to maim her; lol, poor kid is gonna have to get a bodyguard to be around him! Saturday, Logan and I went to Brooklyn's birthday party and Michael went to his brother's Special Olympics. Later, we met up with him and went out to eat at Longhorn with Kirby, Brooklyn and Brian. That was yummy! Sunday morning we left Scottsville and drove to Louisville, to see my Dad. He's in Jewish Hospital with either a staph infection or a brown recluse bite to his thumb. He's been there since last Wednesday and is receiving high-dose antibiotics and soaking the thumb every two hours. We stayed there until about 3pm and then had to head out in order to make it home by this morning. Michael had to be at work by 7am and we didn't get home until 1am!

So, yes, it was a busy week!

Now, I'm trying to unpack and plan where to plant my new tomatoes! I have 15 new plants that are ready to go into the ground! I guess I had better get busy....

*sings* Leaving in a Chevy....

I always forget to update this thing! Kelly reminded me with her Heavenly Homaker blog, so here I am.

We're leaving for Kentucky to-mor-ow! Woohoo:) We'll be there from Wednesday to Sunday. I have alot planned for such a short time; I want to help Sue learn how to bake bread and I want to help my Nana get anything she needs done, finished. We're gonna spend time with family and friends and just hang out. Molly is going on this trip with us but I'm uncertain of how she'll do with my Nana's dogs (weiner dogs, lol) as she doesn't much care for dogs that resemble kitties....she likes to chase them. And she's VERY fast. I got Maddi a new dress today and it is so darn cute! It was on sale at Kohl's and I know it will be long enough and it also has a tie waist, so it will fit there too. Her mama was just telling me how hard it is to find dresses that fit her lengthwise.

But, for now...I pack! I will update more before we leave:)
